New Dining Option Coming to Adventureland

Jungle Cruise

Are you a fan of the Jungle Cruise? Do the pun-tastic jokes really give you the giggles? Well then adventurers, get ready for a new restaurant on the horizon. Jungle Cruise fans of all ages will have even more to look forward to later this year when a brand new restaurant opens in Adventureland, Jungle Navigation Co, Ltd. Skipper Canteen.

Now, that name is a bit of a mouthful, but I am excited for a new dining option in Adventureland. It seems like Tortuga Tavern is always closed, Sunshine Tree Terrace only serves snacks, and while I cannot leave the Magic Kingdom without stopping by Aloha Isle for a Dole Whip, there just isn’t much to eat in Adventureland.

When you are busy exploring on the Jungle Cruise, fighting pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean, and joining the Pirates League, you tend to work up quite an appetite. Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen sounds like the perfect addition to this area of the park.

The canteen will offer “World Famous Jungle Cuisine” inspired by the cuisines of Asia, South America, and Africa. Guests will be able to dine in one of several unique dining rooms including a crew mess hall and a once-hidden secret meeting room of the famed Society of Explorers and Adventurers.

The restaurant is already under construction and will open to guests in late 2015.

Are you excited for the new dining option or do you already have a tried and true favorite restaurant at Magic Kingdom? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
