I’m Going to Disneyland!

I know I usually share articles on how to plan your Disney vacation, save money in the parks, and make the most of your magical vacation. But today, I just have to share a little something about me. Early next week I have the opportunity to fly out to California for work. Because my work responsibilities will only take up a day, I was able to extend my trip and plan a getaway to Disneyland.

Now, I have never been to Disneyland. My Disney home has always been (and will probably always be) Walt Disney World. I am so excited to see the first park that Walt built. I just know I’m going to cry as I walk down Main Street USA in the footsteps of Walt.

Sometimes I forget to count my blessings and reflect on all the positive things that are happening in my life. This year has been amazing on so many levels and it really  hit me the other day just how lucky I am. So indulge me for just a moment as I reflect on what I have to be grateful for.

This year I was promoted at work.

I have traveled so much this year, and still have several trips planned in 2016.

  • First, Aaron and I went to Chicago to celebrate my birthday.
  • Later that same month, I went to West Palm Beach with my sister and her family.
  • I took a road trip with my sister to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Although the trip was a complete mess from the start, we made the best of it and had a good time.
  • In just three days I will be flying to California for the first time.
  • In five days I will be at Disneyland for the first time.
  • In November, I am going to Walt Disney World with Aaron and some of my favorite friends.
  • In December, we are escaping the Michigan winter and heading to West Palm Beach (again!) for  Christmas.

Seriously, I cannot believe this is my life right now.

Because I am so crazy excited about Disneyland, I put together a rough itinerary of what I want to do, dining reservations I’ve made, etc. If you are a veteran traveler of Disneyland, would you mind taking a look and letting me know your thoughts? I really appreciate any advice or insights you might have.
