Complete Guide to Walt Disney World for Princess Lovers

Disney for Princess Lovers

When I think of Disney, some of the first things to come to mind are the Disney Princesses. From the original Snow White, all the way to Anna and Elsa, these ladies have sparked imagination, creativity and bravery is so many.

My personal favorite princess, Belle, taught me so many lessons as a child. She taught me to stand up for and protect the ones I love. She taught me to be independent and follow my own path. She taught me to seek adventure. She taught me that beauty is only skin deep. And most of all, she taught me that it was okay to love books and reading.

As a child (and still to this day) I was a book worm. While other kids craved being outside to run around and ride bikes, I craved a comfortable chair and a good book. I spent hours devouring the Box Car Children, Laura Ingalls Wilder books, Harry Potter series, and so many more. Belle taught me it was okay to be excited and enamored by libraries.

Anyways, I digress….

Traveling to Disney with a Princess lover can be such a magical experience. If you are planning a vacation with a Princess lover in tow, check out these activities and tips to help enhance your royal vacation.

Where to Stay

Any Walt Disney World Resort will offer a magical experience, but if you are looking to bring some Princess joy into your stay, consider staying at a resort that caters its theming to the Disney Princesses.

The Little Mermaid AoA

The Little Mermaid Rooms at Art of Animation are great for fans of Ariel! Art of Animation is considered a Value Resort at Walt Disney World, however, expect to pay a little more for the Little Mermaid rooms, as they are in high demand.

If a moderate resort is more your speed, consider the Royal Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. If you are traveling with a Tiana fan, these rooms are sure to delight!

I absolutely love the rich colors used in the design here. Paired with the dark wood tones and gold accents, these rooms are truly made for a Princess.

Want to go all out with the royal treatment? Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the ultimate in Princess style.

Grand Floridian Standard ViewWhile the theming and design at Grand Floridian is decidedly more upscale and subdued, what the resort lacks in over the top Princess it definitely makes up for in pampering and service.

Grand Floridian is known for making all guest feel like Royalty and this resort puts you in the heart of some Princess parties and activities that I will talk about in just a bit.

Visiting the Parks

It’s all in a day’s work at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, owned by Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother and operated by her skilled apprentices.”

Cinderella’s Royal Table – “Cinderella makes your acquaintance in the majestic Grand Hall, before you ascend a spiral staircase to the banquet hall above. (A gilded elevator is also available to transport you to the festivities.) Then, dine in a storybook setting surrounded by soaring stone archways, majestic medieval flags and spectacular stained-glass windows overlooking Fantasyland. During your time inside the castle, visit with classic Disney Princesses. Tiaras and glittering gowns are optional, although young Guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.”

Experiences Outside of the Parks

From Dining to make-overs, you can find even more of the Disney Princesses outside of the Parks. Here are my top picks!

1900 Park Fare – Located in Grand Floridian, Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner is sure to be a memorable experience for any Princess lover.

“Enjoy an enchanting buffet dinner as the honored Guest of Cinderella and Prince Charming! The Princess’ storybook friends join in the festivities as you have a ball dining on delectable seafood, salad, pasta and beef specialties. The culinary selections are representative of several “kingdoms” from around the globe and include such kid-friendly fare as chicken, cheese pizza and macaroni and cheese.” –

Perfectly Princess Tea – Also at Grand Floridian (see why I chose this as a resort option?), young princesses and princes can enjoy music, dancing, and storytelling during this tea party.

“Rose Petal, a magical rose from Aurora’s garden, has come alive to host the party, leading a special princess parade, storytelling and sing-alongs. At this stately celebration, Princess Aurora herself may also make an appearance, so be sure to bring your cameras and autograph books. Encouraged to dress as their favorite Disney Princess, young royals sip apple juice “tea” and feast on heart-cut jelly sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, grapes and Princess Cake.” –
